1. How warranty works at Home Backup Co
We sell new products from established manufacturers, and each one is covered by that manufacturer’s own warranty. The warranty comes from the manufacturer, it’s passed on to you in full when you buy from us, and the manufacturer repairs or replaces covered products.
The exact warranty for every product is listed in the Warranty section of its product page, together with a link to the manufacturer’s official terms. Warranty periods usually start on your date of purchase; where a manufacturer uses a different start date, the product page notes it.
Keep your order confirmation email. It’s your proof of purchase for any warranty claim, and we can resend it any time.
2. Problems in the first 30 days
If a product arrives damaged or develops a defect within 30 days of delivery, you don’t need to go through the manufacturer. Return it to us under our Returns & Refunds Policy and we’ll send a replacement or a full refund, including any shipping you paid.
3. Warranty by brand
These are the manufacturers’ published terms for the products we carry, checked against each manufacturer’s official warranty page or document. Terms can vary by model, so the product page always has the exact term.

4. How to make a warranty claim
Step 1 email support@homebackupco.com with your order number, the product’s serial number, a description of the problem, and photos or a short video showing it, including any error codes.
Step 2 we’ll check the details, help with simple troubleshooting, and send you your proof of purchase and the manufacturer’s claim instructions, or open the claim with the manufacturer for you.
Step 3 the manufacturer reviews the claim and repairs or replaces the product under its warranty terms. We stay in touch with you until it’s resolved.
You can also contact the manufacturer directly using the link in the Warranty section of your product page. Many manufacturers handle repairs only through their own service centers.
5. Registering your product
Registering with the manufacturer makes claims faster, and some brands require or reward it:
- EcoFlow: registration in the EcoFlow app extends the warranty on eligible models, such as DELTA 3 Max Plus, DELTA 3 Ultra Plus and DELTA Pro.
- EG4 and MidNite Power: register within the first year of purchase.
- Anker SOLIX: register your product on Anker’s warranty registration page.
We recommend registering every product as soon as it arrives. Your order confirmation has the purchase date and order number you’ll need.
6. What a prorated warranty means
Some batteries, including Renogy, EG4 and MidNite Power models, have prorated warranties. A covered battery is replaced at no charge during the first year. After that, the manufacturer covers a decreasing share of the replacement cost, based on how much of the warranty period has passed, and you pay the rest.
7. What manufacturer warranties usually don't cover
Each manufacturer sets its own exclusions. They typically include:
- Improper installation or wiring, including installation that doesn’t follow the manufacturer’s instructions or local electrical codes.
- Misuse, accidents, drops, fire, flood, lightning or power surges.
- Operating outside the product’s rated limits, such as overloading, incompatible chargers or temperatures outside the stated range.
- Modification, disassembly or repair by anyone other than the manufacturer or its authorized service center.
- Normal wear, including the gradual capacity loss of batteries with use.
- Cosmetic damage that doesn’t affect function.
Some manufacturers also require that batteries are charged regularly in storage or installed by a professional. Check the terms linked on your product page.
8. Battery safety during a claim
If a battery or power station is swollen, leaking, smoking, unusually hot or physically damaged, stop using it, unplug it, move it away from flammable materials if it’s safe to do so, and contact us. Don’t ship it until you receive instructions.
9. Your legal rights
Manufacturer warranties are provided by the manufacturer, which is responsible for honoring them. Home Backup Co doesn’t offer a separate written warranty beyond our 30-day returns, but we’ll always help you use the manufacturer’s warranty.
Nothing on this page limits any rights you have under the law of your state, including any implied warranties that can’t be excluded.
