Overview
The ALPHA 5 PRO is a 3U rack-mount 48V battery for home backup and off-grid systems. Each holds 5,120Wh and supplies 100A of continuous charge and discharge current. Rich Solar currently rates it for up to 30 batteries in parallel (153.6kWh).
It talks to major inverter brands over CAN, RS485 and RS232, and you can check it on the front LCD touchscreen, by Wi-Fi or Bluetooth in the RICH SOLAR app, or with PC software. The BMS includes a built-in circuit breaker, and internal heating allows safe charging in the cold.
Rated for 7,000+ cycles and certified to UL 1973 and UL 9540A.

Can it go outdoors?
No. It’s rated IP21, so install it indoors, ideally in a server rack or battery cabinet.
